Lab wait times stressing me out!

I had some bloodwork done via a discount lab service: testosterone (total & free) plus a super-sensitive estradiol assay.

I got the T results super fast, like within 72 hours. But the E2 is still "processing" which is nuts b/c it NEVER takes that long. It's been a full week now since they drew the blood.

What can I even do? I feel like my $$ is gone. I'm never using that service again.

That estradiol ultrasensitive assay is a pain to run and requires someone who knows what they're doing to get it right. When I was doing similar estrogen tests at a different lab, it would always take at least a week, and sometimes even longer.

It definitely makes things hard when you're trying to figure out your AI dosage.

Relax. It'll be there. You haven't lost out on the money. Just think about how relieved you'll be once you have the results and can breathe easy.

The service you used is reliable, so just sit tight.

I've lost about 35 lbs since starting Mounjaro in June 2024 and it's pretty wild. I'm at the same weight I was in high school. High school! My doctor even said my metabolic age is much younger than it should be - she said my metabolic age is like 25. I'm 59!

On the topic of body composition, does anyone have recs for a good smart scale to monitor water weight? I've dropped around 40 pounds since starting my GLP-1 journey about a year ago and tracking trends has been helpful.

From what I've read, smart scales aren't super precise, but they're useful for seeing trends. I got one of the Renpho scales and it works well enough for that.
