Less makeup? More confident!

Has anyone else discovered they don't need as much foundation, or concealer, or whatever, as they did before? For me, it's a huge non-scale victory. I'm finally at ease with how I present myself. ☺️

Your inner radiance is really showing! I'm experiencing the same thing -- haven't bothered with make-up in a long while now, and it feels good just being me. x

I cut back more and more on makeup as I got older, and now people think I'm younger too. It's liberating to let your skin breathe and not have to worry about touch-ups all the time. I still use a little mascara to look lively lol. But that's about it.

I'm glad to be having the same experience, although I'm turning the big 7-0 soon and find I feel better with more makeup these days. As my face has gotten thinner, I'm showing a bit of age: new lines, sharper cheekbones, etc.

I grew up in North Africa and SoCal, and everyone thought tans were cute. Mom's sunscreen was zinc on the nose. Funny, but not funny. Kids, take care -- never go out without SPF 30+ and a hat. But enjoy your new faces and figures. This is your time!

It's just a lot easier to look great and feel good. It's partly psychological, partly about the weight loss. Greater confidence=less insecurity=less stress=better skin ✨🫰

Has anyone else had issues with loose skin and itching? My dermatologist just said to moisturize, but it's not cutting it. I'm scratching so much I'm drawing blood some days.

Dismissing your concerns is troubling, Gym_Lady. Chronic itching that leads to bleeding needs proper attention. It could be something like eczema. A heavy cream right after showering, while your skin is still damp, might help trap moisture.

Wow, it must be amazing to lose 200 lbs! I saw someone talking about getting plastic surgery after significant weight loss. They mentioned panniculectomy, breast reduction, lipo, and some other procedures. I didn't even know insurance might cover that!

It's fantastic when surgery is an option after major weight loss! If anyone is constipated after surgery or just in general, water and fiber are key, and Colace or Miralax can also help.
