Loose skin after weight loss?

Surgical removal is usually the fix if it bothers you. A tummy tuck or panniculectomy are common. Skin elasticity, how quickly you lost weight, and your age all play a role in how well your skin bounces back. If you've been at a stable weight and can afford it, look into surgical options.

I take collagen and hyaluronic acid daily. I'm also using retinol lotion and hyaluronic lotion. So far, so good, and I'm down 65 pounds.

Drink plenty of water and build up your muscles to fill in the space, and that will increase the tightness of the skin. Unfortunately, loose skin is common after a significant weight loss of 30+ pounds. Give it a year and then see if surgery is needed, if it bothers you.

I'm 62F and had big arms from weight gain. I've been lifting weights 3-4 days a week, at home and in classes. It's made a huge difference. Still big, but firmer. The classes are only 10-15 minutes. I bought dumbbells on Amazon. Start slow with low weights. Here are some good arm exercises:

had the same gallbladder issue after fast weight loss years back. went untreated way too long til it went gangrene and sepsis hit. at least now you got it fixed and can move forward.

It happened to me too (I dropped about 70 pounds). My skin tightened up after stabilizing my weight. Give it time before considering surgery.

Loose skin is common with big weight loss. Slow, steady weight loss, like many on Zappy follow, can help minimize it compared to rapid loss.

Thanks all! I'm also dealing with some neck issues now. Hopefully it will improve with some exercises. Did anyone else experience something similar?

I had something similar! I was always self conscious about my neck, and after losing weight, the crease seemed even deeper. But after a while on sema, the inflammation went down, and it evened out. Now I can actually wear my hair up!

I love seeing these non-scale victories! My face is slimmer, and I've even got more room on my watch band! Sometimes the changes that aren't about weight are the most exciting.

My upper arms, thighs, tummy, and butt are all saggy too. I’m trying everything myself. I lift weights about 4 times a week. I rotate between really heavy weight and less reps, and lighter weights with more reps. I'm trying to embrace the changes.

Worth trying stuff like ghk-cu because it's affordable and might help with skin tightness during weight loss. I've been using alternatives alongside GLP meds and just ordered this one to try solo between cycles.
