Lost 130+ lbs – my GLP-1 journey

Back in 2018, I was tipping the scales at 340 pounds and rocking a 54-inch waist. Fast forward to 2021, and my doc was like, 'Dude, heart attack imminent.' Type 2 diabetes and coronary artery disease had moved in. Couldn't even bend over to deal with my shoes and socks. Started on a GLP-1 med that year, Trulicity, and cleaned up my diet. Dropped 70 pounds over a couple of years, started hittin' the gym. Switched to another GLP-1 last year. Now I'm working out six days a week, and guess what? No more diabetes or heart problems. I'm in the best shape of my life at 59. Today, I'm at 210 with a 36-inch waist.

Keep pushing!

That's awesome! Regaining mobility after dropping weight has been a game-changer for me too. I think I was avoiding the gym because I physically couldn't do it, not because I didn't want to. I was so out of shape, and it was a horrible cycle. A GLP-1 helped me finally break free.

I find your experience truly motivating. Well done! You're looking great. I'm in a similar boat, started at 352 lbs in Sept 2023 and currently weigh 268, age 61. Started on a GLP-1 in Dec 2024.

Still working towards my goal, but stories like yours reassure me that it's not only possible but probable.

It's a real shame meds like these weren't available years ago.

Take care & well done. 👍👍👍

I saw a post where someone went from 238lbs to 151lbs. Just 16lbs to go! It's wild how much these meds can help.
Wow, that's amazing! I hope they feel really proud of themselves.

Individual specific yes. Getting near goal? Another thirty to go, seventy three already dropped. Slowing because lost massive amount already? Big misunderstanding about higher doses too. People think weight melting off but maybe for some.
