Protein's been a priority, at least 120 grams daily, paired with a low-carb approach specifically because of the PCOS and trying to work around the insulin resistance. My thinking is that pushes the body toward burning fat directly since glucose isn't as readily available as fuel, which theoretically spares more muscle since fat becomes the target instead.
Haven't touched weight training at all the past few years, which I know is far from ideal. And yeah, muscle's definitely been lost over that stretch, especially noticeable in my legs since they feel weaker now.
