Low B12 on GLP-1s?

I can order human-grade B12 vials to my house in Europe. Legally. I have a bunch! But I can't use them; skin issues. Maybe GLOW will help.

I've got a 10-pack of Lipo C with B12, but won't buy more. My B-12 is high now. I think I was low before, but now it's overkill. I switched to individual supplements based on my bloods so I don't overdo it. I'll get the L-Carn separately. Let your labs guide you!

Just taste and the Nature's Bounty tabs seem to dissolve quicker. It’s the shape of the tablets. Kirklands are smaller and fatter and the Nature’s Bounty are flatter.

I've been using it for a bit now. No need to dilute. I'm doing 1mL 2x a week for 4-6 weeks, getting bloodwork and then likely sticking to 1mL a week for 8 weeks, checking again and then lowering to every other week.

Hey DocInTheBox, thanks for the info on the animal B12. Have you looked into any peptides for general wellness? I was reading about Melanotan II and its potential cognitive and anti-inflammatory benefits, but wasn't sure if it's just marketing hype. I'm curious if anyone here has tried it and if they're legit.

I've been taking MT2 on and off for several years. Really great, but stick to small doses and be patient. Less is more.

I've been reading up on TB-500 for anti-aging and inflammation. Dosing seems inconsistent, though. Has anyone done an 8-week cycle? What dosage did you find effective?

I make two identical nasal spray bottles - one with just water, one with water plus the stuff - give them to my partner who labels them 1 and 2 and keeps track but doesn't tell me. She refridges them. I use them and track effects from each one blind. She doesn't do the admin so I can't get hints from her. Double-blind setup.

was on mounjaro for 2 years, dropped 60 pounds, felt amazing. switched docs and new one refuses because of one pancreatitis thing years ago that never came back. my health's declining again and i don't know what to do 😭

just turned 31, 270 pounds, and been yo-yo'ing the same 40-60 for way too long. thinking about ozempic now and asked my doc. her assistant said she hasn't heard complaints from patients, they all seem happy with it. got health anxiety around weight so i'm nervous but leaning toward it.

B12 injections bypass the absorption problem that oral supplements can't fix - subQ methylcobalamin is the standard approach when the number isn't moving.

The early fatigue resolving with injected B12 and then stopping without issues at 8 months is actually the reassuring version of this story - the adaptation window is real and it doesn't last forever for most people. 26 months in with no recurring problems is the good outcome.

B12 at 150 is symptomatic territory even by loose lab standards, and on GLP-1 the reduced stomach acid from slowed gastric emptying can compound any deficiency already present. Oral supplementation often doesn't correct a true deficiency reliably - injectable B12 is more effective when levels are genuinely low.
