Low & slow wins the race?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
been wondering for 16 months what I actually got because endotoxin testing wasn't common back then. did the math—at my weight, 1000eu per vial on a 15mg dose is the limit. haven't seen anything under 250, saw lots of 20-80, but 2300 is wild. jeep's darker lids seem fine.

Switched to a different supplier and got 9 vials with way more in each than labeled. Dose was supposed to be 60 units from 3 vials every 4 weeks, but I'm actually on 7.5 and one batch lasted over 9 months.

Where'd they say what amount comes with the $349? Never saw them specify one vial or anything. Brello's usually a flat fee for 3 months even at max dose.

slow and steady here too. dropped 30 pounds over 6 months, started at 191 and i'm 5'3". went from 2.5mg up to 10mg this past weekend. a1c dropped from 10 to 6, which is the real win. goal's 140 and low 5s for the a1c.

Got my first Mounjaro shot this morning. A couple hours later, felt completely wrecked—super tired, muscles aching, kinda lightheaded. But the appetite suppression was real, couldn't even drink water. After like 7 hours I was back to normal and food noise kicked in again. Anyone else get hit like that at first?

45 pounds at under 1mg is the strong-responder pattern - slow titration that holds results is actually more reliable long-term than fast dose escalation for most people.

The half-pound-a-week holding pattern is the right cutoff for 'don't increase' - that pace is sustainable and meaningful over time. Four weeks of actual stall before moving up is longer than most people wait and it's probably the correct threshold.

the 32-pound result at 0.25mg over 15 months is the data point that challenges the more-is-faster assumption that drives a lot of aggressive escalation - the lowest tolerated dose producing consistent loss over a long enough window is a legitimate protocol, not a compromise. the advantage of staying low is that the side effect burden disappears as the primary variable, leaving only the weight trend to manage

16 lbs in 3 weeks at 2.5mg is a really strong early response. Going just above the minimum studied dose and seeing results like that is encouraging for how the titration ahead will go. Keep us posted on how the next few weeks track.

1.0mg was as high as I ever went for the actual weight loss phase. Sitting in maintenance for a bit over two years now. My primary doctor dropped me down to 0.5mg just to test the waters, and out of nowhere I put on 10 lbs with food noise and hunger pangs creeping right back.

Got bumped back to 1.0mg after that, but it hasn't worked nearly as well this time. Ended up seeing an endocrinologist since she specializes more in this. She told me doses generally underperform the second time you introduce them.

Sounds like you went through something similar. Genuinely regret ever trying to lower my dose, and I'd push back hard if anyone suggested it to me again. My preference these days is spacing doses out every ten days for maintenance.

Feel that completely. Slow responder here too. Also running both, played around with a matched moderate weekly amount of each. One week was good, finally down a few more lbs, now it's crept back (not diet related since I can barely eat and do intermittent fasting) plus exercising nearly daily now. Before that stretch it took over two weeks to lose a single pound. Guessing the dose needs to keep climbing but appetite's already gone along with genuine food aversion, so it's a constant hunt for something I can actually stomach. Still got a good chunk left to lose, took months to get this far. Wish I had solid tips for you. Hope knowing you're not alone in this helps some. Will update if anything shifts for me.

Only spent six weeks on 0.5 before jumping to 1mg. Reading through everyone's stories now, feels like my doctor pushed the dose up pretty fast. Most of my weight came off while I was still at that lower 0.5 level.

Hey, I'm European too, and I was influenced by stories of people just staying on 2.5mg their whole journey, finding it easy on the just lowest dose. Each time hunger returned on a dose I just felt like a failure & got scared of going up, because I thought I had to stay as low as possible (that's the culture just where I live, we're much more conservative with medicines than other places). Over time I let that go. I then tried 5mg, promising myself that was my ceiling! It didn't work at all. I just had to go just to 7.5 after one month, and it really felt like something was wrong with me. I spent about 3 months on 7.5, and now I'm on 10 and it's really working for me. I dropped the notion that the smallest dose must suffice.

Low and slow!!! Goal reached within 12 months without ever exceeding 1.5mg per dose. Im not the typical case, i know, yet its doable.

Results came slowly for me, real weight loss only began once I reached 10mg, and even now, 3 to 4 months in, a jump to 12.5mg or 15mg is on my mind for my next doctor visit. Some movement did appear at 7.5. Also worth trying: switch up where you inject over several weeks and watch for any change!

yeah that's it for me too. started low partly because the compounded price was brutal, first vial ran like 280 for 10mg, figured id go slow since diet and exercise worked before. im older now and losing weight naturally gets harder, guessing the body holds onto reserve in case something goes wrong. sometimes wonder if post menopause gain is the body protecting itself on purpose. part of me wanted credit for doing it myself, but ive let that ego thing go, dont care about the dose anymore. id rather stay low term for the anti inflammatory side. not sure i want to end up physically needing this, if that's even real. figure stopping at a higher amount brings weight back, maybe not if diet stays steady. losing roughly a pound weekly, started overweight and numbers read healthy now.
