Maintenance dose strategies?

my dose went from 34 to 47 units last week and hit me the same way. talked to my nurse and she said drop to 40 for next time. the sulfur burps were the worst part.
 
was gonna start today but not sure tonight or morning. just got it friday but didn't get around to it. took a gamble ordering 10mg from a us warehouse for $70 instead of local at $70 per vial. might end up with 7 unused vials forever lol. like someone said, my will's executor can sort it out.
 
Every 10 days at 7.5 is a solid maintenance interval - you're working with the half-life instead of against it. Most people settle between weekly and biweekly once they hit goal. That gap seems to be working.
 
Lowest effective dose rather than stopping is the standard - keeps the mechanism active without full-dose load.
 
180 to 120 at goal - the maintenance conversation is about finding the minimum effective dose that holds the result, which varies per person but is usually 1-2 steps below the peak dose you were on.
