Major rash from my shot?!

Just wanted to chime in to say that it's so important to make sure you're eating enough protein and getting enough nutrients while on these meds. My neighbor's wife had a really bad experience where she wasn't eating enough and ended up with liver problems. It's a cautionary tale for sure!

That is so true! These meds can really curb your appetite, and it's easy to undereat. It's so important to be mindful of getting enough protein, vitamins, and staying hydrated. Maybe talk to a registered dietician for a few sessions.
 
The 2 month break and restart at 2.5mg working again is one of those experiences that makes the tolerance reset question real. Stopping because it stopped working and then finding a fresh response is data worth sharing for people who are at that wall wondering what options are left.
 
Go back and read the full post. Already saw my doctor about it. He confirmed the reaction was allergic, tied directly to my medication.
 
Get this every single time I inject myself too, so annoying and itchy! Yours does look a bit bigger though. Is it warm when you touch it? My doctor said it's pretty typical and wasn't worried.
 
Sounds like an allergic reaction to me. Bodies often throw smaller warning signs before a bigger reaction hits. Really should see a doctor before the next injection, this could turn serious fast.
 
Dealt with these for a while too, took antihistamines since I'd read they might help. Took a good stretch to notice a difference, but eventually the rashes cleared up on their own.
 
Did your doctor prescribe an oral antihistamine for it? Broke out in rashes covering my whole body once from an antibiotic allergy, and antihistamines really helped.
 
Been on the dual-action medication for twenty-five months now, and roughly halfway through that stretch I began noticing reactions at the injection spot. Scratching makes them worse, and at their peak mine spread pretty wide, four to five inches across, bright red and warm when touched. Then they just fade on their own eventually.
 
Where are you injecting, and at what dose? I got rashes on my first two shots in the stomach area, but my desire to slim down was huge that I persisted. They faded and since then everything has been smooth. My start dose was 5mg.
 
Twenty-three weeks into MJ, I went to 5mg last Friday. By Saturday there was an itchy patch on my thigh, though I only inject my stomach. Still there, no worse. Took my shot today as usual. If it spreads or lingers several more days, doctor time. Send good thoughts, I love how this med works and would hate quitting.
 
Started out injecting in my belly, then noticed fewer side effects once I moved to the thigh instead. Ended up switching back to the belly though since my thighs don't have much fat, and now it's actually hurting with a rash showing up right at the site.
