Microdosing GLP-1s?

I'm down to 130lbs after starting at 185, and my doctor is happy with where I'm at. I get it, but the food chatter is still there you know? I don't want to just quit cold turkey. So, I've been doing like 0.25mg every couple weeks, and it seems to help keep the cravings in check without killing my appetite completely.

Anyone else doing something similar?

Hey, yeah, that's pretty common. But honestly, at such a tiny dose, maybe you don't even need the meds anymore to maintain? Have you thought about stopping for a few months and seeing if you regain? Also, you could try click counting for an even smaller dose than 0.25

Could you use one of those pill forms instead? Just take one on days when you're struggling with cravings.

I started with 0.25 weekly for about 3 months, now I'm on 0.5 for 2 months. Started at 205, now 168. I am in no rush to increase. Maybe I will, but I doubt I'll ever need more than 1mg. And I also don't want to stop suddenly. 0.5 seems good, first couple days I struggle to eat anything, even protein, then it balances out. Once I hit 145, I'll lower the dose and stretch out the intervals to see what happens.

You've done great so far! Since you still have the pen, try lower doses and bigger gaps and see how that works. You don't want to lose any more if you're already at a healthy weight, but you don't want to regain either.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Sub_Guy719 I have considered pausing, you're right. Maybe I will try that after my next pen is done. Just a little nervous!

Med-Loss I haven't heard much about the pill version, I'll look into it. Thanks!

I'm down about 30lbs since starting. I love that feeling! But now I need to up my dose. The food noise is creeping back!

That's how it goes! I find drinking a bunch of water helps when the noise comes back. And it gives you a chance to work on those habits on your own before moving up.

I use mine sparse — like 1.25mg every 8 days — so I can actually feel hungry again. Helps me tell the diff between real hunger and just habit or boredom. Works great for me especially for binge eating stuff.

thought about going injectable? something's off here. those symptoms sound like insulin resistance. after weight loss mine cleared—cravings gone, blood sugar stable, no post-meal crashes. you're half my age, should be easier. something doesn't add up.

just starting sema, second dose in 2 days, feeling good so far. no bad sides, nice break from constant hunger and not being able to control portions. curious what tactics help when appetite comes back toward end of week.

The mental stamina piece was the biggest surprise for me on a low maintenance dose. I can sustain focus for longer without the afternoon crash. Something about the inflammation reduction and stable blood sugar working together. Worth trying a lower dose if you're concerned about staying on it long-term.
