MJ kicking fatigue's BUTT!

I am feeling absolutely incredible these past few weeks. Feeling like a new person!

It feels like a miracle. My energy levels have skyrocketed, and I'm so motivated to tackle each day. It's puzzling because I've only shed maybe 4 pounds. My routines are consistent, diet and sleep are the same. The constant fatigue I dealt with before is gone. I was always exhausted and could barely get through the workday. Now, after work, I can keep going ALL day long.

I feel like I've been living in a fog for years, and now I've finally woken up.

My inflammation is also way down. My face was always so puffy, and my joints ached constantly. Even my feet were swollen. Now all that is gone. I have Adenomyosis so I blew up like a balloon constantly; that's basically gone too.

That's wonderful to hear! I had a very similar experience initially, and while I've had some minor setbacks since then, I feel so much better than before. I think the inflammation reduction is key for me as well.

I agree completely. I'm about a month in and the need for daily afternoon naps has totally disappeared. I used to feel trapped at home unless absolutely necessary (thank goodness for remote work). Now I walk the dog, still have the steam to workout, and running up and down the stairs is so much easier. I love being able to move easier even though my weight change has been so-so.

That is really wonderful you are feeling so well! I've experienced such a positive shift too, and it started pretty quickly for me. As a high school drama teacher, my job can be really exhausting. I was feeling burnt out, but lately, I've been able to keep up so much better. I'm on week 7 and averaging about 2-3 pounds lost each week. Slow and steady and I'm good with it!

I have the same experience, why do I all of a sudden want to move? And where is all this energy coming from even after full shifts and strength training? I'm only on my first week and it's so weird not crashing when I get home. I actually want to do stuff! Totally a positive side effect for me.

I've been on Mounjaro for over a year now. One of its benefits is lowering inflammation. A lot of people on it drop weight fast in the beginning because less inflammation means less water retention.

Fantastic news! :D

I noticed the appetite suppression almost immediately. Only on week 2, and I haven't weighed myself (avoiding the scale for sane mental health). I think I've lost maybe 2lbs and already I feel lighter. Getting up off the couch and out of bed is easier, and I can walk down stairs without feeling like I'm carrying a ton of bricks. I feel like I've got springs in my shoes!

I agree

It's wild how much inflammation can impact your energy and overall well-being. I hadn't fully grasped it until experiencing it myself. Less achiness is a major game changer.

Seems like the Washington Post just discovered *food* makes us fat. Groundbreaking stuff, I tell ya! I wonder how one gets on that sweet grant money?

I've noticed that my energy varies more these days, too. At first, I felt great because I was losing weight, but lately, it's been up and down. Some days I'm active and energetic, and other days I'm tired and sluggish, which makes sticking to my workouts tough. Anyone else have this?

Hey Calorie_Cake, I think the varied energy levels are common. I've seen some people suggest that it's often related to the calorie deficit. If you're not eating enough consistently, your body will bonk. Perhaps you could try to maintain a more consistent calorie intake each day?

I had fatigue for the first several months, but it cleared up after a while. I think getting better sleep, eating more protein, and having a smaller calorie deficit helped. I also started going to the gym 4-5 times a week. Now my energy levels are consistent.

peptides don't work the same for everyone. hear lots about tesamorelin and ipamorelin for sleep but they keep me awake and i wake up once or twice. stopped ipamorelin, trying to double tesamorelin and use it half as often instead.

Ha, Big Trouble in Little China - Kurt Russell absolutely deserved more credit for that whole run. Great movie. Glad the MJ energy is feeling that good, the fatigue turnaround people describe on this medication is one of the more underrated improvements.

The sleep improvement is one of the more consistent effects people notice but don't always connect to the medication. Early on the disruption is real - some people get that in the first few weeks. Good that it came around. What dose are you running and how long has that held?
