F40. Was 303, now 158. Hit 2 years on Mounjaro! Started 10/26/23. Skin removal done 6/4/25.

Today's my 2-year mark since diving into this health thing. Usually, I don't pat myself on the back much, but I'm really chuffed about dropping the pounds and keeping them off. Weight's been a lifelong battle, with all the health baggage that comes with it. This whole journey's hammered home that I've got to actively choose myself every single day – not just now and then, not just when I feel like it, but *every day*. Needs to be some sort of healthy action for my mind, body, or spirit. Just signed up at the gym and am easing into treadmill walking and some light weights. Years 1 and 2? All about getting healthier and feeling good in my own skin. Year 3? Gonna be about getting stronger, inside and out! 💕

Wowzers! Congrats on the journey! It's pretty similar to mine. I'm 38, started Aug '23 at 245, and I'm sitting at 158 currently.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the skin removal done? I'm so self-conscious about my tummy and arms. Can't bring myself to wear short sleeves; I feel like I've got wings when I stretch my arms out. 😭 My tummy looks like a crumpled mess. But I'll take this over 245 any day. Still, I'm curious.

lol, seriously, I thought it was a before/after with your daughter! You look WAY younger!!! Incredible work!!!

Thanks everyone for the kind words! It definitely keeps me motivated.

ShrinkUpdate, I had the skin removal on my stomach area. It made a huge difference in how I feel about myself.

And I agree with the others – I'm feeling younger than I have in years!

Bring on the strength training!

Any tips for that transition?

For me, the biggest thing was really dialing in my diet and being consistent with exercise. It's a lifestyle change, not just a temporary fix. I'm still learning, but that consistency has been key.

I've noticed some people treating me differently since I've lost weight (about 100 pounds since last year), even though I'm now in the 'healthy' range for my height. My husband was totally shocked when he saw how much I weighed at a doctor's appointment – less than him, and I'm taller!

Hey ShrinkUpdate, I saw your comment about the arm 'wings'. Have you considered dry brushing? It can help with circulation and may tighten up the skin over time. Worth a shot before considering surgery!
