Mom's been hiding her GLP-1?!

I'm in shock, to be honest.

I was tidying up the fridge last night, really getting into those hard-to-reach spots, and there it was: a small, innocent-looking container. It seemed like it might hold documents or something, so naturally, I had to investigate.

AND GUESS WHAT I FOUNDDDDD

Right there, on its original packaging, was a little bottle that stated,

redacted_brand_name

with a health-focused emblem at the top.

It all clicked then. Her recent diet changes, the weight she's lost, and even the box of insulin needles I stumbled upon a while back...

I guess we're all secret scientists in this family

My mom:

My reaction to the discovery:

P.S. Finding appropriate GIFs is harder than it seems.

P.P.S. Apparently, she's just using sterile water. So far, she appears to be doing fine. I'm unsure how long she's been doing this though.

P.P.P.S. I was a bit concerned before this discovery, but now...???

Keep her away from the forum, or she'll be researching a bunch of things at once! You win the internet for that clever humor...

So, are you not going to share how to get her tirz for cheap, and bac for a decent price or what? Just going to act like you didn't snoop in her stuff?

Just a friendly suggestion, but maybe encourage her to use bacteriostatic water instead of sterile water? Sterile water doesn't have anything to prevent bacterial growth once you puncture the vial.

I've been on a GLP-1 for a little over two years now, and the biggest thing I can recommend is to hydrate. I mean, REALLY hydrate. It's almost always a good idea to drink more water, but it's critical when you're on these meds.

For those of you experiencing constipation, I often recommend magnesium oxide to my patients. There are several brands on the market - just be sure to follow the instructions. And of course, as WellJourney mentioned, water intake is key!
