Mounjaro gave me my life back!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
I wish I remembered that exact quote but the math checks out. As you get lighter each pound is a bigger percentage of your total so the visual changes get smaller. I basically stopped weighing myself and stopped caring. Then one random day when I felt thinner I checked and boom four pound drop. It's a grind but we're all in it with you.

talk to your doctor. this med can mess with mental health and it's different for everyone. don't white-knuckle it—there are other options. be kind to yourself.

Dropped 76kg in a year. Started at 191kg. This medication gave me my life back. I regained control I'd surrendered. Now I can juggle all the pieces and reshape my future. Learned tons about real nutrition and stopped feeling ashamed while eating. Understanding how to actually fuel myself has been a game changer.

Getting stuck in a narrow range for two years after losing from 400 pounds is a different kind of challenge than the initial loss. Maintenance under significant set point pressure is genuinely hard. Have you looked at what minimum effective dose keeps you in that range versus what would allow continued downward movement?

258 to 133 plus sobriety - both of those together is the kind of compound change that actually holds.

258 to 133 is a result that goes beyond the weight number - the changes in what you're able to do, where you can go, how you feel in everyday moments are the compounding part of this that shows up slowly and then all at once.

That's such an amazing transformation! Mounjaro literally changed my life too. A year ago my cardiologist basically told me I was running out of time - then I started and everything shifted. You should be so proud of yourself.

97 lbs at 5'2 and the lower belly holding on last is exactly what the OP's transformation will look like at the tail end. The belly fat staying stubborn while everything else reshapes is one of the most consistent experiences people share. What dose have you been on for the final stretch?

Born with a bone disease and 15 surgeries on your hips since 2020 and still getting here is the version of this story where the starting point was harder than most. The OP at 258 to 133 is the headline but the person behind the number and the specific circumstances matter to the result. That is a remarkable thing to have come through.

20 pounds and feeling blown away is exactly where I was too! The thing this medication does is make the work feel possible for the first time - not easier, exactly, but different. I'm 5 months in and down 14 and still surprised every time I step on the scale.

It really is incredible, isn't it? I was completely floored. My relationship with food is unrecognizable now. Never once been thin, fought this battle my whole life. I'm 57 now. Finally that constant food chatter and craving loop has quieted down. Eating when hungry, stopping when full. No self-control needed at all. Currently down 85 pounds with maybe fifty more to go, though honestly I'd be happy stopping right here. Good luck with your mounjaro path. It's genuinely wild!

That's the very thing I blurted out to my household right at the start, is this what normal people feel like?? My husband would often mention how eating felt optional, something he could easily skip. Dropped 70lbs before through sheer force of will and constant workouts. Wasn't sustainable and predictably came right back. Now with mounjaro this actually feels doable long-term!

Good on you. Same story here, lost a huge amount since last year, close to a third of total body mass, tall frame and this medication's been genuinely life changing. Never really carried much extra weight before, and now back close to that earlier shape. Same as you though, time to focus on strength and rebuilding muscle now.

That's amazing, for me mounjaro finally quieted my brain down enough that I could actually hear myself and understand what I need. Down around 150 pounds, and best of all it reshaped my whole relationship with food. Food's no longer running the show, just playing a supporting role now. Got my health back and got to experience so much I'd missed out on, and worked through a lot of fears along the way.

My food noise went quiet too, honestly Mounjaro felt like a miracle. 60 lbs gone since last October, and I'm finally within the healthy range for my height, which hasn't happened since my Marine days back in 1994.

Congrats, thats a huge transformation for the time it took, and I hope Mounjaro keeps working for you. It only registered for me at around 50 lbs, a fifth of my starting weight. With a healthy BMI nearly reached, my pace has slowed a lot, but garments fit differently after just a handful of pounds. My body can do so many things I never did before: hopping onto counters is easy now (Im short!), and I can tuck my knees up to my chest or cross my legs.
