Long-term Mounjaro outcomes track closely with how well underlying metabolic drivers are addressed - the transformation in photos is the compound result of medication plus what it enables behaviorally.
 
Mounjaro long-term is the right call for people who are responding well - there's no clinical reason to switch when it's working. The Reta curiosity is understandable given the results people report but switching something that's already working is a gamble that doesn't always pay off.
 
The 'blessed to live in the age of Mounjaro' framing isn't extreme for someone who's seen what it can do. The long-term question is where the real story gets interesting - what does 10+ years on it look like for people who started early. Congrats on everything so far.
 
Appreciate you sharing this. My plan is staying on Mounjaro indefinitely, but I'm bracing to stop at any point. Genuinely stressful since it's doing so much good for me, but I've come across one too many nightmare accounts about people losing coverage overnight, and paying out of pocket just isn't realistic for me. Been working on shifting my body and habits so maintaining without it stays possible. Good to see it can actually work.
 
Comes down to cost honestly. Been paying out of pocket for two years and just can't keep affording it. Wish staying on Mounjaro forever was an option since zero side effects the whole time, but that's not realistic. Plan's to switch over to Wegovy or Ozempic to hold onto this long-term instead. Genuinely nervous about running into side effects though, given none showed up on Mounjaro at all.
 
Switched to Mounjaro back in January, was on Zepbound before that. Yeah, fully aware they're the same compound, just carrying different FDA approvals depending on the label. Lol.
 
If there's a covered condition backing Mounjaro, Type 2 Diabetes for instance, finding a plan willing to pay for it should be doable. Personally on a $0-premium Part D plan through Wellcare that handles it. Deductible and copay still apply of course, right up until hitting the yearly out-of-pocket ceiling.
