Mounjaro Making Me RAVENOUS!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Only three months into this medication so far. Occasional cravings for snacks pop up here and there. Sticking to regular food options and keeping the house free of typical snack junk helps. Once a month, one treat gets purchased, but once it's gone, that's it until next time.

Running Mounjaro and eating without any real fixation on it.
Never was an emotional eater, my pattern's always been simple: eat once hunger shows up, quit once my body signals it's had enough.
What's always tripped me up is the delay, my body's cue that I'm full lags way behind actual intake.

This medication hasn't changed my menu at all, I still reach for whatever I like, dialed carbs back a touch, and let the drug's hunger-blunting effect step in earlier during each sitting.
End result, portions naturally shrink and the number on the scale keeps dropping.

Still go out regularly with my spouse, portions are just smaller now.
Having tried plenty of approaches before, I know a rigid restrictive plan that bans my favorite foods never lasts for me.

Relying purely on that appetite effect has gotten me 33.75 pounds lighter since late May, no sense of deprivation involved anywhere.

Same here. I dropped my insurance and can't afford Mounjaro anymore. I've regained 12 lbs since April. I am type 2 diabetic too. I am beyond frustrated and unfortunately went back to my old terrible eating habits. This sucks.

sleepy-lateadopter66 Exactly this here. My Mounjaro use started in October 2022, with a few breaks, and each time I'm stunned by how hungry I get and how constantly I want food. The weight also comes back at a crazy speed. So glad I live in the GLP-1 era.

The month off followed by 7.5mg lost me. The half life is long, sure, but a month is a month. You basically began fresh at 7.5 instead of the 2.5 mg first dose. I TOTALLY get having to stop for a month over cost. But id suggest going back down to 5.0 or 2.5 and titrating up quickly. Three years of use so far. If a month passed and I restarted at 7.5 id be in the ER. Even 2.5mg hit me with major side effects. Getting to 10mg needed 3 yrs, and occasionally even that is excessive so i drop back. Unpopular take incoming: on shot day I stick to easy carbs, mashed potatoes for example.

Yeah, I genuinely know lol, but on mounjaro I could easily stay in a deficit and now I can't, and I feel that's totally missed. If I could genuinely happily stay genuinely in a deficit I wouldn't need mounjaro genuinely at all, but willpower isn't my thing lol xxx
