Mounjaro - One Year Later!

It's wild how memories show up unexpectedly. I was looking at some old phone pics and saw one from about a month after my first injection. I was already down about 18 pounds from when I started.

In that first picture, you can see a glimmer of hope, but also someone who was pretty down on himself, mostly due to his own actions.

Fast forward a year, and I feel incredibly fortunate. I finally feel like myself again, able to walk around without constantly worrying about what others think of my size. It's hard to understand that insecurity unless you've been there. Now, I'm just another face in the crowd, and those awful thoughts that fueled my social anxiety are gone.

Stick with it, it's worth it in the end.

Total weight reduction: 155 lbs

Yessss! What a transformation! So pleased for you. It's great to see these victories. My spouse has lost 150+ pounds; I'm still getting used to being married to such a hottie! I enjoy seeing the guys get their swagger back.

Fantastic. Isn’t it awesome to buy clothes that you actually WANT to wear, not just to hide in? Because all clothing provides coverage, but it's nice to not feel like you're trying to disappear.

That was beautifully expressed. And your transformation is remarkable! You've altered your physical appearance, which is having a profoundly beneficial effect on your mental well-being. Plus, the confidence boost is the ultimate accessory! Well done 👍

Congrats! I'm so looking forward to the day when I can shop in a regular store and they don't tell me my size is only available online. I often travel internationally for work, and I end up packing way too much because I worry I won't find what I need while I'm away!

I think one of the most under-appreciated benefits of this medication is the reduction in inflammation. It's not just about the weight; it's about overall wellness.

I totally understand this! I'm tired of only being able to find clothes online. It'll be nice to actually try stuff on in person again!

That's amazing about your hubby! It really makes a difference in confidence, huh?

I'm starting to see it now. I've dropped about 30 pounds since summer but it's only when I compare side-by-side photos that I REALLY see the difference. Still feel like the same bigger guy when I look in the mirror though.
