Mounjaro's done for me. Now what?

I'm 5'7, started at 244.5lbs and now I'm at 161.7lbs after about 11 months. I made it! My old boyfriend didn't even recognise me the other day lol, which was so weird. I kind of started this whole thing because I was feeling down, partly because of him, but his reaction to my weight loss didn't make me feel as good as I thought it would. Turns out, how you look doesn't have as much to do with how you feel inside as I thought. I took my last injection like a month ago. I've got gallstones from losing weight (be careful, it's pretty common!) so eating's still tough, and I think I'm still losing weight, but I don't want to anymore. I want to rebuild some muscle. My appetite is coming back too, which is nice. Once I get my gallbladder sorted, I'll finally be able to enjoy food properly again! Check out my other posts if you want to see my whole journey. Good luck to everyone, and goodbye! Thank you, Mounjaro! 🙏🏽

That's amazing! I'd love to know how you do on maintenance. Maybe you could give us an update sometime?

This is awesome! Way to go 👏🏼

I'm also looking forward to stopping but I'm also really nervous! I've got a plan though, a fitness plan, and I'm getting all my gym stuff ready to make it happen. Does anyone else struggle with energy to go hard on training while eating under their TDEE to be in a deficit? I do walk a lot though. I walk about 28 miles a week.

Your stats are SO close to mine! I'm 5'8, started at 241.6lbs and now I'm at 237. My goal weight's 160. I've only been on Mounjaro for a week, but this gives me so much hope. Just started a low carb, high protein diet today. Planning on cardio first, then strength training. No rush, just want to be healthier! 11 months is amazing!! You rock! 💖

You look incredible!! Way to gooo

Your recent pictures show toned legs and no cellulite. Did the cellulite disappear with the weight loss, or is it just the lighting? Asking for a friend, because I have cellulite and I've just accepted it as a permanent thing, even if I lose weight.

It’s great that you had minimal muscle loss. A lot of people lose so much muscle when they're dropping weight, which isn't ideal.

How quickly did the weight come off for you?
I think it was pretty steady, maybe around 2lbs a week? It wasn't super fast, but I guess it was enough to cause problems. Definitely something to be aware of!

I'm 58 and just started. Seeing these posts gives me so much hope! I'm down about 10lbs in the first month! 💪

I'm on these meds and also wondering about loose skin. What are people doing about saggy skin after losing a significant amount of weight?

Yeah, I won't speak to your exact case, but about those sensations you mentioned - I've used brand zepbound/mounjaro for ages and early on the response felt unpredictable. Some weeks nothing at all, others hunger would vanish suddenly. Same pen, same spot. These days I notice zilch.
