MT2 & PT-141 anyone?

If it's cool with the mods, I can share some spots to snag this stuff in the US and Australia (they ship internationally).

First, let's figure out dosage based on your skin type using the Fitzpatrick Scale:

Type I (0-7): Pale white skin. Always burns, never tans.
Type II (8-16): Fair skin. Usually burns, tans poorly.
Type III (17-24): Medium skin, white to olive. Sometimes burns, tans gradually.
Type IV (25-30): Olive to moderate brown skin. Rarely burns, tans easily.
Type V (30+): Brown skin. Very rarely burns, tans very easily.
Type VI: Black skin. Never burns, tans extremely easily.

Types I & II: 20-30mg+ for a noticeable tan. Types III: 10-20mg. Types IV-VI: Less than 10mg should do it.

Side effects:
Some studies show mild nausea and some...interesting side effects. Probably safer than testosterone replacement therapy.

Dosage:
Days 1-4: .25mg daily to test your reaction. Expect some flushing, that's normal.
Until desired tan: .5-1.5mg/day.
Maintenance: ~1mg/week.

Discard the vial after a month, but some say it last longer. Keep it refrigerated.

PSA: Your junk tans REALLY fast.

I experimented with Melanotan for a couple of months over the summer. It definitely works, but I had to quit because I got a bunch of new moles and some existing ones got darker. Did anyone else experience that? Also, didn't notice any libido boost.

Yeah, that's a pretty common side effect, unfortunately. I only tried it once, but my age spots (thanks, Mom!) got darker.

A friend of mine with very fair skin had the same thing happen, but he caught skin cancer earlier because of the increased pigmentation. So, silver linings, I guess?

It worked pretty effectively when I gave it a shot a while back. The only downside was pretty intense nausea for like, 15 minutes after injecting.

Slightly changing the topic, but PT141 (Bremelanotide) actually came from the MELANOTAN II peptide hormone.

PT141 can be a lifesaver for guys who don't get anything from PD5 inhibitors. It's no Tri-Mix, but it still works and seems pretty safe from what I've seen. It might be a good alternative for some guys since PT141 (Bremelanotide ) works on the central nervous system to increase sexual desire, unlike PD5 inhibitors that affect the vascular system.

Study data on PT141 (Bremelanotide): http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14999221

Thanks for the tip

I am interested in trying it again especially since Ive been working too much to see sunlight. I look like a vampire!

Anyone know how to get a prescription for this in Australia? Went to a doctor today who knew nothing about it. He Googled it quickly, saw someone taking it had kidney failure (probably unrelated) and told me to go to a cosmetic clinic.

Answering to @Doc_Tale's question. Even though this is an older thread, it might help someone who's searching for info. Clinuvel did a phase II study of afamelanotide (MT2) on vitiligo in Singapore, and a very small study in the US. MT2 seems promising for treating vitiligo. You can find study details on Clinuvel's website: www.clinuvel.com, or search for their afamelanotide product, Scenesse, on Facebook for updates.

I've used MT2 to successfully treat my photodermatosis (polymorphic light eruptions), so it definitely has benefits beyond just tanning.

I would avoid products from questionable sources at all costs. I spent over four months in intensive care after using something from a sketchy source twice. Massive heart attack, complete kidney failure, complete liver and pancreatic failure. My doctors didn't think I'd make it. The only change I made was using this product. There's a reason they say "not for human consumption." It's dangerous! If you've ordered any, throw it away. I'm a physician, by the way.

Good to have some real-world negative experiences with these shady peptide companies. If it's not pharma-grade from a real pharmacy, I wouldn't risk it.

Does anyone know of a legit pharmacy that prescribes any of these? I'd much rather get them that way.

I've used Melatonin II and had really good results. I'm a Type II on the Fitzpatrick scale, and I got the best tan I've ever had - and I'm 50! It looked natural, not like a spray tan. Small doses after meals helped avoid nausea, and the tan protected me on a trip to Hawaii.

Never got any libido boost, though.

It's possible that the negative review is just from a competitor.

Or someone claiming to be a doctor, ordering peptides online (getting the name wrong), injecting it (doctors are usually careful about injecting unknown substances), getting super sick, and then randomly posting on forums. Physicians also usually understand the law about peptides, which are sold for research because they haven't been FDA-approved.

It's a suspicious post. Research companies before buying. The internet is full of fake reviews.

I understand what you're saying Charlie41. I want to know the possible risks with anything I put in my body. Can you tell me what makes you think that the product caused your heart attack? Did you dose the product as intended? Do you use any other peps?
