My closet shrunk! Anyone else?

I need to find a tailor, STAT!

I was thrilled to squeeze into outfits I hadn’t seen daylight in for ages - it was like raiding my own archives for vintage fashion. But now, even those are becoming loose as the weight keeps melting off.

Honestly, the manufacturer should be paying for my clothing upgrades. It's all their doing! Just kidding... mostly. 😂

HW - 475; SW - 378.8; CW - 313.6; T2D A1C 6.1; shed a whole foot around my waist since early 2025.

Totally get it! My updated wardrobe nearly bankrupted me! Especially since I feel confident in everything now (yes, I’m shamelessly bragging), I want to snag all the CUTE stuff... and I'm constantly online shopping!

I was cycling through pant sizes every couple of months myself. Started at a 40 waist, grabbed a couple 38s, then invested in several 36s thinking I’d plateau. Nope! They became too roomy, so I got some 34s, assuming that was IT. Wrong again! Just as they were broken in, they were falling off, so I had to spring for 32s. The only upside is I get my groceries and apparel at the same place now - Costco.

We need a GLP-1 Clothing Exchange! Someone smaller passes down their clothes as they slim down, which you then pass on to someone larger as you get smaller! A virtuous cycle!

Congrats on the progress! And yeah, I’ve given up on buying retail clothes. I just rock my oversized hand-me-downs until they’re practically disintegrating. Because I keep shrinking so fast! Every month and a half I need a smaller size. I’m just gonna wait it out hahaha. I went from a 16/18 to a size 6/8. Aiming for a 2/4.

I'm barely 5'3", and I ballooned to 300 at my heaviest, now I'm maintaining at 115. Clothes aside, my whole body composition has shifted, so my old styling tricks are useless, and I'm having to completely relearn how to dress. Bras, socks, shoes, literally everything needs replacing.

I still have a ways to go, but I’m dealing with this right now. I donated all my old clothes, even a few that I totally adored, and had to start from scratch. It's definitely been an investment, but I feel fantastic. Plus, clothes from regular stores, not specialty shops, are so much more affordable.

Honestly the biggest drawback nobody mentions is muscle loss and how hard it is to build muscle while on medications like Mounjaro 😭

Had a closet of items that shrank or so I thought now given away. Tight to way too loose kept a couple just in case. Only few cocktails twice weekly otherwise the same. Can buy without elastic belly doesn't push pants down no more plumber moments. Shorts and sweats not needed for comfort now. Blood pressure and resting heart rate both normal.
