My clothes are too big now!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
The 'too skinny' feedback is other people recalibrating to a body they have known for years at a different size - it does not mean anything medically. Going from XL to M is a concrete marker. When the goal shifts to maintenance, the focus naturally moves to what the body can do rather than what it weighs, which is a healthier frame for the long term. Clothes shopping post-loss is one of the better NSVs because it is tactile in a way the scale number never quite is.

Complete opposite situation for me. Once the weight came off and my numbers normalized, couldn't stop buying new outfits. Genuinely need to delete that shopping app off my phone at this point.

Mostly secondhand shops and yard sales for me. Since I know my size keeps shifting, I'm avoiding pricier new clothes for now. Though I did splurge on fresh underwear, a couple bras, and a swimsuit!

Congratulations! Sixteen inches is massive! You must barely take up any space now!

What do you end up doing with the whole old wardrobe? Always wondered whether people just go buy a whole new closet at some point, and if so, when does that actually happen?

Went through something similar recently shopping for clothes, was browsing extra-large sizes instead of medium, and even seeing that medium actually fit, couldn't bring myself to buy it, worried I might end up back in the bigger sizes eventually. Ended up postponing the whole shopping trip until things feel more settled.

I'm honestly the opposite, terrified of buying clothes that actually fit. Went from XL/2XL down to a medium/large now, and I keep avoiding grabbing a medium since I'm scared I'll regain the weight and waste the money...
