My health journey: feeling proud!

Hey everyone. I'm 47, and back in early 2025 when I was 46, I weighed 270 pounds. As of today, I happily weigh 250 pounds. I started on 1mg of my GLP-1 med, then went to 2mg. Around April, I changed my diet and started eating low-carb, no sugar, and high-protein. The cravings just disappeared. I still want to eat sometimes, but I drink water first, and if I'm still hungry, I'll make a salad or some chicken. I haven't been 250 since way back in 2013! I've aged a bit because I had neck and head cancer. Now I have stage 4 lung cancer, which is why I changed my diet. I might not have much time left, but I'm going to live it to the fullest. Good luck to everyone on their own journeys!

I love this! The increase in confidence matters just as much as the weight loss. It's good to keep track of these moments so you can see how far you've come in more ways than just the number on the scale.

I'm so sorry to hear about your health challenges, but it's inspiring to see your positive attitude and dedication to your health despite everything. Keep fighting!

Just wanted to share a bit of my own journey for some inspiration. I started my medication back in February. My BMI is in the normal range now. I was on 10 mg for several months but now I'm on 12.5. I need to drop another 15 pounds to reach my goal. I've had less acne issues, and my aches are gone.
