My slow & steady GLP-1 journey

Hi everyone, I'm 54 years old, around 5'6". When I began this, a little over 12 months ago, I weighed 172lbs, and today I'm down to 129. It's been a slow burn, staying on the smallest dose and losing maybe roughly 2-4lbs each month. This has been perfect for me because I'm a tennis nut, playing maybe 4x/week, so I needed to keep my muscle mass. I've been steady at 136lbs for a good while, and then suddenly these last few pounds just vanished. I feel better now than ever before, my joint pain and swelling are gone, and I'm crushing it on the tennis court! Tonnes of energy.

I just wanted to say - stay consistent. Consider it a marathon, not a sprint. And tune out those who don't understand. You do what's right for you and your health!

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

Awesome!! This really gave me a boost...I started at a slightly lower weight, 187lbs, and I'm only down maybe 8lbs after 2 months. I was feeling a bit discouraged because I see posts about people losing 20+ lbs in the first couple months. I'm also staying on a small dose, as long as the scale keeps moving, that's what matters!! Congrats!

I'm 49, hoping to lose 35lbs by my 50th bday 😳 in late summer.... it's been 2 weeks and I've lost 3 lbs. The lack of food cravings is worth all the worrying I had about trying this out. I've always struggled with my weight. I managed it for about 15 years after losing 45lbs on a diet program. A surgery and figuring out hormone replacement these last 2 yrs has really messed with my body, and I've gained nearly 30lbs from my goal weight. I just want to feel good again 🙏🏻 I'm here for all your inspiring stories! Way to go on your success 👏🏻🎉

I feel you! It's easy to get discouraged seeing those fast results. But slow and steady wins the race!

I saw someone on another thread mention they lost over 20 pounds in just 7 weeks! Starting at 189lbs and down to 166lbs. Crazy!

docs suggest 12mg is optimal but i see stories where people titrate low and slow, only bumping when they plateau. idea is you don't want to hit your ceiling too early. curious what rhythm works for everyone.
