My slow & steady GLP-1 journey

Hong Kong Yanpep International
So stoked for you right now. What's the experience like? Has your perception caught up with reality? I've lost 64 and even though my clothes fit different, my mind still thinks the old version. Been dropping about a pound weekly on average. Slow and steady wins. Hope you come back and tell us how the maintenance phase goes.

Also just went through my initial follow-up visit. Type 2 diabetic here, dealt with gastroparesis long before starting this. Spent 11 weeks at 2.5 and only saw 6 pounds come off. Honestly leaning toward slow and steady being the better path anyway. Doctor bumped things to 5 though, waiting on that now, mainly since insulin resistance is heavy for me and numbers have started climbing again.

Slow for me too. Lost around 12 to 14 pounds over the last ten months. Couldn't budge fat at all despite years of serious effort before trying a GLP-1. Switched over to Mounjaro about six weeks back and I'm down roughly 3 pounds since, genuinely happy with that. When there's not much fat left to lose, it's naturally a slower process.

No procedure involved, just took an extremely gradual approach to losing weight. Being 43, guess that just naturally slowed the process down some.

There's definitely a window where these drugs really deliver on weight loss. Dropped 20 pounds fast, another 10-15 more slowly, and now I'm stuck with plenty left to lose. Nothing's really budged for me past that first 6-9 month mark. Grateful to weigh less overall, but never actually got to thin.

Down 40 percent from my starting weight. At goal now. Lost around half a pound weekly. Took a full year. Still losing, just very slowly. On it for type 2. Great that you're walking and lifting, really helps build muscle.
