NAD+ Injections vs Pills, Real Deal?

Has anyone actually noticed a difference taking NAD+? I read a bunch of testimonials online but looking for real world takes. What are your thoughts on injections compared to oral?

Oral NAD+ isn't worth it because of low bioavailability. Injecting it directly is best, but not super practical. Intramuscular is better than subq, but some even debate that. NAD+ precursors, like niacin (B3), absorb much better. Getting a cheap B-complex from overseas with B3, B5, B12, etc. is a good idea if you're doing NAD+.

I already picked up a B complex supplement from a local store, unless you're suggesting an injectable.

I've been using NAD+ since being on tirz and I can’t say I've noticed much of anything substantial. When I first started, maybe there was a slight effect, but I think it was because I wanted to see one (placebo). I still take it 3 times weekly at 100mg, but not sure it does much. I'm planning to try MOTS-C soon, as supposedly it has a more noticeable effect.

So, an update. I was taking NAD from one source at 100mg every 3 days for weeks with no changes, but when I switched to a different brand I noticed an energy boost right away. I'm aiming for long-term cognitive benefits and sent in a blood test to check my NAD levels after using it for a few weeks.

I like the injection better than pills. I feel the effects faster and it lasts longer if I'm consistent. It helps my mood, energy, and mental clarity.

Another update: I've been titrating up to 100mg daily subq for a month, and my blood work came back with unchanged NAD levels. Very disappointing.

I listen to health podcasts at work, and they say wearable patches are the only way to go with NAD+. They didn't get much from subq or oral, and IV NAD+ made them sick.

The half-life is crazy short on injections. I've been doing nicotinamide riboside and after 2 months, I've seen a big jump in energy and mental focus. But most NR supplements fail testing, though I'm not buying the expensive ones either.

At first it made me tired... I needed an afternoon nap. Once I started taking TMG daily, the sleepiness stopped, and I would get a 2-3 hour burst of energy. Overall, I don't think it does much. Another researcher suggested using 5 amino 1 to boost NAD's energy effects.

Wait... they test other brands, all junk, but they conveniently have the perfect solution for $$$? Sounds a little suspect.

Not necessarily. Tru Niagen tested other brands and found that most were underdosed or had nothing in them. Some met the label claims.
