NAD+ or Semax for focus?

Hey everyone,

I've been researching NAD+ lately, hoping it could give me a much-needed energy boost. As a full-time student, I rely way too much on coffee to get through the day. My memory isn't great either, and I struggle to stay focused, even in everyday situations. I'm hoping it would give me a leg-up. Then I came across Semax.

While it's not a direct energy enhancer, its cognitive benefits seem promising and might be what I'm actually looking for instead. There seems to be more chatter about Semax than NAD+, too. I plan on administering either one via subq injections rather than nasal spray.

Has anyone here tried NAD+ or Semax? Even better, has anyone used both and can compare the experiences?

Honestly, getting an adult ADHD evaluation at your university's clinic might be a better approach. Prescription meds could be way more effective than peptides for your concentration issues.

I'm talking from experiance, it could totally change your life path for the better. I wish I'd done it sooner. I struggled through my bachelor's degree when medication could have helped me far more easily.

That's a solid idea macro-counter, and it might be the right solution. Sadly, ADHD meds aren't an option I can consider right now. It's not a huge problem, more of a daily annoyance, really. But I appreciate the suggestion!

NAD+ injections helped my ADD symptoms.

I experienced long-lasting, stable energy from NAD+ IM along with cognitive function enhancements (motivation, interest, enthusiasm, focus, etc.) and a reduction in any down feelings. Just my thoughts!

NAD+ has seriously improved my ADD. I mixed that with a few rounds of SS-31 and MOTS. I have been lowering my Vyvanse dose every couple months. I'm going to give Semax a try, too. I was just laid off from my job this week; so, I'll go without the ADD meds and see what peptide works best.

I haven't tried Semax yet. (Kit's in the freezer) but I just finished a 14-week protocol that included NAD+. I noticed definite cognitive improvements. I wrote about it here:

Next week I will be finishing a cycle of tesamorilin/ipmorelin which I am very happy with.

Semax *might* offer some help, but there's also NA Semax and Adamax to consider. Semax might be too subtle in comparison to drugs like Vyvanse and Adderall. I don't have ADHD, but my daughter is on Vyvanse, and she said she didn't feel anything with Semax. I ordered Adamax for myself. Check it out.

I understand about the Adderall. Have you checked out Vyvanse? It’s not as strong, not the same class.

Wellbutrin is another option that can be used for ADHD. It can be stimulating, but it's not the same as Adderall. It works on norepinephrine instead.

Just trying to provide helpful info.

I'm dealing with something with my dopamine levels, which affects my NAD+ reaction. (Not helpful for ADHD.) GLP-1s aren't helping either.

Semax is on my short list too. I have heard it’s best when cycled off after a few weeks. You sound like you're familiar with yourself, which is important.

I've been using a similar protocol to the one described by IF-warrior, alternating NAD+ with MOTS-c. I've had some noticeable benefits in energy levels and mental clarity. But I'm thinking about adding TB-500 after seeing this testimonial where it helped reverse a stroke. Seems like it could have even wider applications, especially for overall wellness. Might be worth looking into!

I've been hearing some good things about Melanotan II for libido enhancement. Has anyone in here tried it? I'm curious about the potential side effects, like nausea and skin changes, but I'm also interested in the potential benefits beyond just libido.

I agree with IF-warrior. I have heard of positive experiences with Melanotan II. Someone I know had good luck with PT-141 but not so much with Melanotan. Each of our bodies reacts differently to each one!

Doing 2mg Tesa daily on a 5x2 schedule and it's working great. Take it after 3 hours of no food before bed. Started with CJC and IPamorelin but got side effects right away, switched after a month and no issues now. Great sleep, energy, muscle tone, fat burn. Might try a different schedule but probably won't go back to the other stuff.

Off and on twice the past few months, both times 3-4 weeks at 0.25 mg. Working became almost impossible, no energy for anything outside work. A week or two after stopping, things went back to normal. Think my ADHD meds and the GLP-1 clash—known thing that it reduces their effectiveness. Is depression a common side effect? Any way to fix it?

sleeping terrible on the 1mg dose, second week in. tried herbs and other stuff but still waking up at 2am wide awake. wondering if eating earlier to help weight loss is making the insomnia worse.

your math tracks. thing is, weight loss and energy expenditure aren't as cleanly connected as people think. when i was losing weight i barely moved, then started walking—built up from 5 mins a day to 3 hours on bush tracks. calories in stayed the same but the walking didn't budge the scale at all.
