Nausea so bad I can barely eat, but I can't restrict food

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Please don't suggest fasting or skipping meals, and please don't tell me the vomiting means it's working. I have an eating disorder history and restricting on purpose is a relapse risk for me, so I'll skip any reply that pushes that.

Ozempic so far: four weeks at .25, four at .5, and I lost only two or three pounds. My doctor moved me to 1.0 three weeks ago and I'm down twelve since, which sounds good but I feel awful. Nothing sounds appealing, not even sweets. I'm queasy nonstop whether I ate or not. This morning I threw up plain liquid, and yesterday I managed one cup of pasta and that's it. My family is starting to worry.

I have Zofran and Compazine. Zofran takes the edge off but I can't take it around the clock. Fluids are fine. I see my doctor in two days for something else and I'm thinking of asking her to drop the dose, but she has said she'll stop Ozempic if the weight doesn't keep moving. Ride it out a bit or lower the dose? Anything that helped you?

Nausea comes in short waves during the first days after each dose (on 1.0 for 3 weeks now). Usually I stare into space and breathe, and it fades within a minute or two. Now and then it takes over and I actually feel sick, roughly 3-4 times counting from late June. Not fun at all, but for me the benefits outweigh it.

Side effects scared me too, so I read posts here to avoid problems. Main lesson: small portions, and stay far away from anything oily or heavy. I did that and never threw up or got bad diarrhea. Still, I was surprised how much I had to cut my portions. A couple of times early on I got uncomfortably full, but I was quite overweight so my portions obviously werent healthy anyway. I think following those rules will spare you the horror stories you read online.

Start on half the dose. I hate throwing up too, so I eased into Ozempic and it's been fine. Sure, GI side effects exist, but if you tune the dose to what you can handle you can dodge all of them. Before Ozempic I dealt with lots of nausea and bowel trouble anyway, so life on the other side wasn't exactly comfortable either.
