Not seeing the scale results I wanted :(

I've been on this med for ~12 weeks. It's def helped with my glucose and I'm down like 28-30 lbs, but I guess I thought I'd lost EVEN MORE by now? I'm eating around 1300-1500 cals, trying for 100g protein every day. Drink tons of water, plus coffee and tea (no sugar!). Weights 3x a week, then walk a mile with the kids at night. Any other tips?

You're losing weight at a good speed, and you're learning good habits. I know it can be hard when you see people losing faster, but slow and steady is probably better to keep it off and maybe have less side effects too.

That's great progress! You are losing over 2 lbs a week, which is more than is usually expected. If you have type 2 diabetes, you might lose weight slower than people on Mounjaro who don’t. I lost more at first but now I'm losing about 1.5lbs a week as I get closer to my goal weight.

Sounds like you are doing all the right things!

30 in 3 is a LOT! I've lost way less than that. You're killing it! This is a marathon, not a sprint. Be kind to yourself. My doctor wants me to lose no more than 2 pounds a week on average.

10lbs a month is a great rate of loss and is realistically the max you should be striving for. Rapid weight loss can actually be harmful to the body.

True. A kilo, so like 2 lbs a week, is supposed to be the best rate to keep it off. Thanks!

Seems like I'm on track, just gotta keep going!

You're crushing it! Almost 30 lbs in 3 months is awesome and you have to already see a difference. You're the most important person on this earth, so be nice to yourself.

Just keep going! You have to lose 30lbs to lose 50lbs! I've lost 90 in 9 months -- same track as you. I've stalled a few times, but just kept at it. You'll be so stoked, just keep it up!

I wish I lost 30 lbs in 3 months! Maybe I've only lost like 15. All that lifting is maybe turning fat into muscle, so that weighs more. Keep going! If you are T2, then it's gonna be a little slower too.

That's 120lbs a year. Think about that. If someone told you a year from now you would be that much lighter you'd be thrilled. Don't judge yourself by others – judge it by your progress before starting Mounjaro.

You're doing amazing! You're losing at a good pace, focusing on healthy habits, and setting a great example for your children. Keep it up! :-)

Do you have a body composition scale? Some of the progress you hoped for might be hidden if you're losing fat and building muscle at the same time.

That's awesome! My doctor finally moved me up to 15mg and I started back in May of last year. I was on each dose for about 3 months. I told him that I seemed to lose about 10lbs every time he moved me up, but gained weight on 10 mg. It was over the holidays, though. Anyway I've only lost 50lbs total. I'm happy but I still want to lose about 80 more, haha. We can do this!

Dude, RunFTW losing 145 and not seeing it is a real thing. Our brains are weird. Do other people notice? Are your clothes fitting differently? If yes, then it's real. The brain lies.

Hey Jamie_2003, I know how you feel about not *seeing* it. I've actually lost about 145lbs and still struggle to see it in the mirror. It's a mind game!

Body dysmorphia is real, especially for those of us with a history of weight issues. Keep reminding yourself of the facts – the scale, how your clothes fit, what others are saying. Objectively, you've lost weight.
