Obsessed with vial labels?

Anyone else kinda OCD about how their vial labels look? I was using a janky setup where I'd try to eyeball it, but I found this thing on a shopping site that makes it super easy to get them on straight. No more crooked labels for me! https://a.co/d/4wHNTZl

I actually have one of those label-straightening gadgets, and it appeals to my slightly obsessive tendencies too. I used to use a different label maker, but the labels faded in the freezer and the software was a mess. Now I get these customized "name" labels from an online vendor; like $9 for a couple hundred. Now I can label as soon as something shows up and get it right into the freezer.

I still like my label machine when I have a bunch of vials to do all at once. Makes things go faster.

I still like my label maker though, haven't had any issues with fading and I've probably labeled like 150 vials. Thinking about upgrading though.

I've been thinking about getting a 3D printer, but I'm not sure I need another hobby. Do you ever make storage cases for your vials? Maybe that is something my husband would be interested in.

Yeah, I use it quite a bit. I design things for my business and print stuff I find online. Here's a little of what I've printed recently.

OMG. A label straightener? And I thought I was down the rabbit hole! I guess I'm just an old school person. I just take my micrometer and if it's off by more than a tiny amount, I peel it off and try again. I do love my label printer tho. I've even reused the labels on multiple vials sometimes.

I think you could download that file and pay a 3D printing service to print it if you don't want to buy a printer.

I'm still thinking about it. I'm sure we'd get some use out of it, but I need to do some research. I've seen some used ones for sale, but I don't even know what to look for. I'm going down the rabbit hole!
