Off GLP-1 since April - Maintaining okay!

Been on Ozempic at the highest dose for almost a year, lost over 50 pounds but it's really slowed down, feels like it stopped working. Hungry all the time now. Probably need to cut calories more but that'd be under 1,200 a day and that's not realistic. Has anyone else hit this wall? Still got 50 pounds to lose and I'm discouraged.

The set point biology is real - the body's counter-regulation is active, not passive, which is why the 5-year regain statistics on traditional dieting look the way they do. Maintaining off the medication for months is genuinely beating those odds. The intentional small regain decision is unusual but valid if it's a conscious choice.

the gym rat and expert dieter but still overweight story is the one that finally makes the hormone and metabolism argument land. the OP maintaining after coming off in April actually supports the same point - the medication corrected something in the baseline that diet and gym could never touch on their own.
