Off the GLP-1 train soon!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Running 40 miles a week, cycling 100+, lifting 3x. Not chasing more weight loss. Curious if Mots-c might boost endurance performance for athletes? Most info I find is either lifting-focused or generic health stuff.

The electrolyte tracking becomes more important during the taper phase than at steady state - as the medication effect diminishes, food intake tends to increase and the kidney's handling of sodium and potassium shifts back toward baseline. Having the electrolyte supplementation calibrated to the new intake level rather than the suppression phase prevents the imbalance that sometimes produces fatigue or cramping as you step down.

1.25mg weekly as a first Reta dose is a cautious start. The smidge-of-a-second-compound approach is how a lot of people end up running low amounts without overcomplicating the stack. What is the goal from here - maintenance or still active loss?

Really appreciate the suggestion, though I already ran reta for half a year at 8mg weekly and saw no weight change, just a pile of rough side effects including intense hunger. That experience pushed me off reta entirely, and I'm not really looking to start another GLP-1 for now. Which is why cagri solo is the current plan, and I've got elora on the way too. Going to add 500mcg on top of my current 1.5mg and track how that goes!

Will do that! Full disclosure though, close to my goal weight already, tirz is still holding up its end, just a bit slower now, and I've got a stash of reta I wanted to experiment with. I'm firmly in the camp of staying on GLP-1s for good, and I'm curious how running tirz and reta together might act as brakes against any future regain. Research on that's tough to find though.

Sudden stops are why most people regain, so make yourself a maintenance strategy. Look for communities on tapering and microdosing, where people share how theyre stepping down slowly or moving to smaller doses so they dont bounce right back. Give it real structure and youre likely fine. Those places are full of folks whove succeeded and failed several times, so theres plenty to learn.

Thinking of stretching the gaps between doses to find the lowest amount that works for me. Cycling on and off crossed my mind too, but I don't know how people fare returning. I'm hoping to hear from people here about that.

Thanks for sharing, and yes, quieter food noise is worth it. I am only in week 2 on .25, with a jump to 1 suggested soon. What do you make of the warnings that everything returns once you stop? I worry about that, and about whether staying on this so long is sustainable even after reaching goal. I have also looked into a gastric sleeve as a permanent option, but it costs a lot and is obviously a huge decision. All the best :)

Same here. A podcast covers tapering off and maybe quitting, which fits since you look near goal. The fitter your body gets (muscle included, in the right amount for your build), the smaller the dose you'll require. Right now people treat it as lifelong, which isn't fully correct.
