OMG - I hit goal!

Hi everyone!

Start weight was 230, now I'm at 170, and hoping to get to 160. I posted a while back when I started semaglutide but got cold feet and deleted it. I was on it for several months and then stopped. I did stall for what felt like forever, but I've since dropped another 10lbs on my own, making it a nice round 60lbs total.

I'm still buying clothes that are way too big! Body image issues are SO real when you've been heavy your whole life. For anyone just starting, hang in there! You can do this!

Just a quick reminder about our rules, everyone. We don't allow discussion of semaglutide that isn't FDA-approved, and no selling or offering to sell meds, even via PM. Don't respond to anyone who offers that, they're not endorsed by this forum.

Hey SoCal_Runner, to answer your question, my diet is pretty balanced. I try to eat lean protein and lots of veggies. And I walk on the treadmill for about 30 mins, 3-4 times a week. Don't get discouraged, 3 weeks is still early! You'll see results soon!

To add to SoCal_Runner's question and Ant_Dad273's answer, sometimes the *timing* of when you upped your exercise intensity can play a role in water retention, which masks fat loss. It might take a few weeks for your body to release that excess water. So keep at it!

I've also heard about the "swoosh" effect, where you lose a lot of weight suddenly after a period of stalling. Kinda like your body is balancing things out. Has anyone else experienced this?

yeah i had serious fatigue. switched to friday evenings so i could rest over the weekend. eventually it eased but never fully went away. check the reddit subs for semaglutide, wegovy, and ozempic though—this side effect pops up constantly.
