One Year Down, Feeling Fantastic!

Hi everyone! I don't post often, but I'm super excited about my progress and wanted to share. I started this journey in April '24, weighing in at 332 lbs. I’d been at that weight for about 7 years. Today, I'm at 246 lbs! I’m so fortunate that I haven’t had awful side effects (except for a few times when I overindulged on vacation, lol) and no type 2, just slightly elevated blood pressure. I want to encourage anyone who's just starting out: it's absolutely worth it, so don't give up if you get discouraged! I had a couple of plateaus, but just kept at it. I'm not at my goal yet, but I usually keep quiet about weight stuff and just wanted to tell someone!

That's incredible, ZepboundZoe! You must feel so much healthier and have so much more confidence. Would you be willing to share your titration schedule, typical calorie intake, and exercise routine? I know meds aren't a magic bullet, so I'm always interested to hear how people make them really work.

I started Mounjaro a while back and lost around 50 pounds. I didn’t have a ton to lose, but it really helped stabilize my glucose. I'm hoping to reduce some of my insulin now. Best of luck with your continued success, ZepboundZoe!

Sure thing! I'm still titrating up, currently on 10mg. I aim for around 1500 calories a day, focusing on protein and veggies. I try to walk for at least 30 minutes most days and do some light strength training 2-3 times a week.

There's no need to be embarassed of old photos, but congrats on losing the weight! What's most important is that you are happier and healthier now.
