One year in - and down 155 lbs!

My world is a different place now, I couldn't be more thankful. If you're just starting out and feeling hopeless, remember every little bit counts, even when you're not seeing immediate results.

Awesome progress! I started back in October, current weight is 244 down from 259. My dosage was bumped up to 2mg this week. Hoping my blood sugar levels have improved too!

You look like a new person! I start my injections this weekend. I'm ready to make a change! I've been dealing with weight issues forever, and it's time (at 48) to finally get healthy and drop these extra pounds. Your post is really encouraging for those of us just beginning...it gives me so much hope ❤️🙏🏻 Started at 260, goal is 205. I'm 5'10 and going through menopause.

Incredible! You look great in both pics to be real, but I'm very happy for you. This popped up while I wasn't even on the forum, perfect timing, as I was feeling down. I'm only a month and a half in, and just upped my dose to .5 from .25 this last week. I'm sure the 1.0 dose after this one will really kick things into high gear. I'm LOVING that the constant food thoughts are just GONE. My husband will say around 9pm “hey want a snack?” LOL. I've been eating gluten and sugar free for over a year and haven't lost an ounce. My body composition is a little better and I feel a little better (Hypothyroid, Fibromyalgia, and menopause) what a combo! I think my story is pretty common. I'm a passionate cook, so it's super easy for me to eat healthy and I have been. So far my only side effect is mild constipation that I've read is common. Water water water my doc said! The very first week, I think I saw the scale drop 4lbs! I was thrilled. Water but… like, zero, zilch more lbs lost in 6 weeks? Doesn’t make a lick of sense! Track my calories with MyFitnessApp now, which I didn’t want to have to do. BUT your saying “even if you don’t see it” because I DO feel the other benefits, I now decline “snack time” so that's something. I felt like giving up today. I'm going to keep going up in my dose, as I know it’s low now - Thank you for sharing! It means so much.

Congrats! Bobby58 you look fantastic!

what was a typical day of food do you eat? Did you have bariatrics surgery thereafter? Did you lose any muscle tone?
No surgery, just the medication. Typical day? Protein shake for breakfast, chicken salad for lunch, and salmon with veggies for dinner. I do some light weight lifting to keep my muscle tone up.
