Good luck to all the newbies starting Mounjaro!!

Today's my one year anniversary. Started Jan 5th, 2025. 47 injections later, I'm celebrating a 55 pound loss, a healthy weight, and feeling like *myself* again.

I'm eternally grateful for this med! My body had been in a constant state of stress since burning out in 2018. Crazy high cortisol made me eat and gain weight super fast.

I've been in maintenance mode since last fall, trying to find the lowest possible maintenance dose. I'm not kidding myself, I know I can't stop completely without regaining. Since I pay out of pocket, a lower dose is cheaper.

Things that ALSO made a big difference for me:

- No more alcohol
- Tracking my meals
- Time-restricted eating: finishing dinner early and pushing back breakfast
- Daily walks
- Calming my mind with meditation
- Focusing on what my body can DO, and not just its appearance!

I'm on month 15. I’ve dropped about 52 pounds and I’m feeling fantastic. I'm 78, so this was probably my last chance to lose weight and keep it off. My diabetes is totally under control, and my bloodwork is perfect. I have some loose skin, but I'll take wrinkles over fat any day.

You look incredible! You've done an amazing job, and you should be so proud.

Congrats!! 🎊🙌🏾💕😌 This isn't a simple journey; however, if you are intentional and commit to it, I think success is achievable.

Like you said, Jordan51:

What really helped me:

• Tracking my food intake
• Time-restricted eating
• More walking
• Meditation for calming
• Accepting MY personal journey
• Focusing on what my body can do (YES!!)

Congrats!!

Are you dosing out of a multi-dose pen? I'm confused by the 3.75mg dose on your graph. 5.0 is too strong, so I'm back to 2.5. I think 3.0-3.5 is my sweet spot. I've lost 50lbs this past year, but after 3 months on 5, I couldn't keep any weight on. I had to reduce the dose. I have illness-related diabetes, so I have to stay on it. I don't do well with metformin.

Jordan51 You look amazing! I appreciate that you mentioned calming your nervous system with meditation. I struggle to stay calm so I'm going to try stretching while sitting. I also want to go to sleep earlier. Self-soothing helps too. I rub my legs and that seems to calm things down.

Happy New Year! I also dropped 60 lbs in 1.5 years. I need to lose another 30 lb to hit my goal! You look fantastic! Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐

Thanks everyone! I am thrilled!

Jamie09, no I'm not using a vial. I have a prescription for 2.5mg and one for 5mg. I inject two 2.5mg doses on some weeks to get a 5mg dose. Then other weeks I only inject 1.5 pens of the 2.5mg dose, I figured out how to dial it to 3.75mg. I'm lucky my insurance covers both and I get them refilled at different times.

Wow, huge congratulations! I saw someone else post about a MAJOR weight loss - like over half their body weight! It's so inspiring. The gains are more than just the pounds lost, right? It's the confidence and feeling good in your own skin. That's what I'm aiming for!

Absolutely. I see posts, and on other forums too, from people who've lost 150+ pounds. It's hard to even imagine the lifestyle changes that come with that kind of transformation. Things like fitting in airplane seats, buying clothes without anxiety, and just having more energy. It's incredible.

I'm just starting out, but I'm really hoping for those kinds of changes. I'm tired of feeling tired all the time and having my joints ache. I'd love to just move easier and feel more confident. Stories like yours, Jordan51, and Lucky_Pizza give me hope!
