One year of Mounjaro!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Starting today means a year from now you will have your own anniversary post. The earlier you wish you started, the more committed you usually are. Welcome to it.

I'm 69. Started mj back in March. Wish this had been available decades earlier. Been diabetic for 27 years now. Nope, don't miss my old self one bit.

77-year-old male here, not seeing much difference honestly. Numbers ran high before, and they're still running that way. Diabetic, been using Mounjaro since December 2022.

I think that fear's universal honestly. If you haven't yet, check out the maintenance-focused community and the one for people who've come off the medication entirely, worth reading through both. They serve different purposes, the first is for people continuing some maintenance amount (sometimes unchanged, sometimes gradually reduced). The second exists for people no longer taking it, whether they walked away voluntarily or had to.

Personally I'm in maintenance and tapering down (peaked at 7.5, ran 5 for two months, now down to 2.5). Haven't decided whether I'll eventually stop entirely, but I'm content easing into maintenance slowly. Worth mentioning though, my starting point was more extreme than yours, more than half my body weight needed to come off, and I've stuck with this for eighteen months, so my perspective's shaped differently. Good luck figuring out your own maintenance approach, and congrats on what you've already accomplished!

Genuinely been in a great place on Mounjaro these past two years. Sure, there's stuff in life that stresses me out and isn't always smooth, but overall my outlook's stayed really positive. Not carrying around that ticking time bomb of obesity, high blood pressure, type 2, IBS, sleep apnea, and so on certainly helps. Began hormone replacement therapy recently and occasionally feel low, chalking that up to the hormone adjustment though.
