One year on GLP-1s!

Wow, time flies! It's been a year since I started this journey. Sema worked for a while, got up to 2.5mg. Then switched to Tirze and I'm on 7.5mg now. Probably gonna stay here unless things change.

Started at 256, now I'm 158. Goal was 159 but I might aim for 145 now? I'm 5'6 and 41.

That's an amazing change, wow! I'm approved for Zepbound but waiting until after shoulder surgery to start. You're getting me excited! I only lost about 45 pounds on semaglutide over 16 months. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you lose on semaglutide versus Tirzepatide, and over what time period?

Did you ever slip up in the beginning? Like, eat more than you should have when you were on the starter dose? I'm on week 4 at 0.25 and struggling a bit.

That’s amazing!!! I started around the same weight as you, currently 215lbs and just went up to 2.5mg on sema. Would you mind sharing around what weight you were stalling when you switched? You are such an inspiration!

I'd say I dropped approximately 70 pounds with sema over about 8 months. The other 30-ish has been on Tirz in the past 4 months.

Thanks for sharing! That really helps. It seems like Tirz is definitely more potent than sema. I'm hoping for similar results!

From what I've read, Tirzepatide (Zepbound) hits two hormones (GLP-1 and GIP) while semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) only works on one (GLP-1). That's probably why some folks see a bigger difference.

Oh yeah, definitely. It happens! Just get back on track the next day. Don't beat yourself up about it. It's a journey, not a race.

Store vials in a container with frozen ice pack compartments if you don't have a separate freezer? Or skip the cold entirely, keep room temp up to a year?

Gonna test my stash vials next October to figure out whether to scrap what I've got or stretch it another year or two. Hoping maybe one or two mg drops in weight.
