Please excuse the messy room! I can't believe it's been a year since I began my Mounjaro journey. It's incredible how far I've come. I didn't take many before pictures because I was so unhappy with my appearance.

I remember being diagnosed with T2D last year and the shame and worry I felt. Starting Mounjaro was scary, but not getting my health in order was even scarier. My highest weight was around 270 lbs, I started Mounjaro at 242 lbs, and now I'm at 139 lbs. My blood sugar is stable, my eating habits are under control, and I feel fantastic. Now, my goal is to incorporate more exercise. 💪

So jealous! My progress is painfully slow. Only about 18 lbs gone in six months. I need to get rid of 110+ lbs...

Way to go!!!

I have a question, if you don't mind. How have your tattoos changed as you've lost weight? Especially on your arms. They look great in the picture, but I was just curious.

I'm 14 months in and down 90 lbs. Started at 286, currently at 195, and have been on 7.5mg for over 6 months because I couldn't tolerate 10mg. I still want to lose another 35-40 pounds but I feel so much better.

I'm so glad you shared your progress. Today is my first day (injected last night). My stats are similar to yours. I saw your before pic and I thought, "Wow, her body is just like mine."

Thank you for inspiring me!

To answer a couple of questions:

[@QuirkyKing] My tattoos have actually held up pretty well. There’s a little bit of distortion, but nothing major. I've been using lotion religiously.
[@CarbDone] I think 10mg was my sweet spot. I felt the most effective appetite suppression without too many side effects at that dose.

That's great! I'm glad you found a dose that works for you. It's all about finding what you can tolerate and still see results with!

For those experiencing extreme skin laxity after significant weight loss, panniculectomy might be an option to discuss with your physician. It can address issues like rashes and pain associated with excess skin.
