Oops! Reta dosage mix-up

Just a heads-up from a total newbie! I messed up my Retatrutide dosages big time. I have 50mg and 30mg vials, but I was using the 50mg ones while still following my old dosage sheet for the 30mg. Didn't catch it until this morning when I was mixing a fresh vial. Thought I was taking 3mg on Mondays and 4mg on Thursdays, but it was actually more like 5mg and 6.6mg! Feeling okay, no crazy side effects, but getting my macros in has been a struggle since I started. Learn from my dumb mistake!

Oh wow, that's scary! At least you didn't down the whole 50mg at once. I heard about someone who took an entire vial of R30 thinking it was a 3mg dose and ended up in the ER.

Good to hear you didn't have any horrible side effects! It could have been much worse. It's not a HUGE increase in dose, but I bet that appetite suppression is intense. Everyone reacts differently to these things, though. If someone prone to bad side effects at higher doses did that, they might not be so lucky. Always label everything!

So glad you're okay and brought this up. You're definitely not alone.

I write down my calculations when I mix everything, and then I double-check my notes every time before injecting. We're all human, and mistakes happen.

Thanks for sharing! I think this is more common than some people realize.

Wait, there were two people who did this?! I knew someone who took a whole R30 vial thinking it was their weekly 10mg MOTSc. Didn't go to the ER, though.

Yeah, it was a total facepalm moment. I was so focused on the number of clicks on the pen that I didn't even stop to think about the actual concentration. I'm going to be way more careful from now on.

It's interesting how much variability there is in GLP-1 medication pricing. I saw an interview with the CEO of a compounding pharmacy, and he was talking about how Americans often pay 10x more than Europeans for the same drug. It makes you wonder who really controls the prices.

I have ME/CFS in addition to some insulin resistance, and I've actually noticed a boost in my energy levels since starting Ozempic. It's still early days, but even a small improvement is huge. Maybe it's related to reduced inflammation? Has anyone else with chronic fatigue seen similar effects?

Compounded GLP-1s are a hot topic. There's a lot of debate about their legality and safety, especially with Big Pharma getting involved. It sounds like the regulatory landscape is changing rapidly, so it's important to stay informed.

I agree with MyBro about the inflammation. I've had less pain since starting these meds. I also have T2D, and when I cleaned up my diet, I felt a significant decrease in pain and increase in energy. When I started eating some of those foods again, I felt some of the discomfort coming back.

Tried a single vial of oxytocin from a Chinese source but it wouldn't recon properly with Hospira solution. Oxytocin's finicky with pH and all that. Plus the effects are super short-lived. Don't know anyone who sticks with it long-term.

That's a weird finding though. First puncture shouldn't be the only thing that matters for 3-4 months. Makes you wonder if equipment got recalibrated or different techs handled samples between those dates. Hard to say without the full methodology.

i use labeled caps on my vials cause it helps me keep track what's in what. don't get why that's a problem if it works for me. i wipe the tops before every use anyway.
