Oops... too much laxative!

Okay, so I was super backed up and I thought, 'Hey, let's double the dose!' Two of one laxative, two of another. Big mistake. Now it's like a firehose down there. Learn from my suffering!
 
A word of caution: Using stimulant laxatives too often can actually make your bowels less effective over time. They kind of force things to happen, which isn't great long-term. You might want to consider something gentler, like a magnesium supplement.
 
I tried two of those candies and nothing happened. So, naturally, I had two more! Let's just say I was cleared out! Then, bam, right back to square one.
 
I usually have amazing digestion.

Drinking lots of water daily helps. But 0.25mg of this drug wrecked it. I went four days without a bowel movement! Where did the food even go?

Yesterday, I ate lots of lettuce + chicken + dessert. Did the trick. Cabbage salad with shrimp for dinner. This morning, success! Update: three times in less than a day.
 
I've been taking magnesium citrate for about a month now, around 350mg daily, and it's not doing a thing. I'm lucky if I go once or twice a week. What dosage are you taking, PurePal?

Absolutely! It's all about the fiber. If you don't drink enough water, it can make things worse. I like chia seeds in my oatmeal or dried dates.
 
I would suggest aiming for around 30g of fiber daily. Some good options are raisin bran, dried plums, fresh pineapple, and even popcorn. Also, I'm slightly lactose intolerant, when I am desperate, I'll have some soft serve ice cream.
