Over a year on Ozempic!

For anyone just finding this forum and feeling overwhelmed, remember time keeps moving forward. Have faith in yourself, especially if you've tried other things. I started on Ozempic around May of last year. Terrifying, but so was hitting 300 pounds. My worries about my health were constant, and I just couldn't do it on my own. I really did try. Now, for the first time in what feels like forever, the constant hunger is manageable. I actually enjoy my day to day, and I can be active again.

I'm 5'2". Started at 300 lbs, now I'm around 180. Still have a distance to go before I reach my goal, but hard work pays off.

That's really motivating! I'm 5'1 and started around 175 lbs. I often feel like it's not working, but these kinds of posts help remind me that it takes time. You look great; your face looks so much slimmer already 😍

Amazing work. You look amazing. Glad to hear how long you've been on it, as I started at a similar weight but am a bit taller. Six months in, and I need to remember that I committed to at least a year. I keep stressing about where I thought I'd be by the end of the year and feeling like I'm behind. I'm not! Gradual loss is still success and a year from when I started is March '25, so I just have to keep at it. Did you ever hit any plateaus or struggle with motivation?

That's the best part! It's so hard for people who haven't experienced that level of 'food noise' to understand how much it can affect your life.

Oh yeah, definitely had some stalls. What helped me was changing things up a bit - different exercises, adjusting macros slightly. The motivation dips are real too. I found keeping a photo journal helped a lot - seeing the progress visually even when the scale wasn't moving as much.

Starting MJ on Friday! Kinda nervous, but excited after reading success stories here. I struggle with late-night snacking - anyone else have that and find Mounjaro helps?

Totally normal to be nervous! For me, MJ really helped quiet the cravings, especially at night. Focus on getting enough protein during the day, that can make a big difference too.
