Ozempic 2-year check-in!

OP, what dosage are you on? I'm prescribed Ozempic and started at 0.25mg, then 0.5mg, then 1mg, and now 2mg. 2mg seems like a lot, particularly since I'm seeing results on the lower doses. I've shed about 15 pounds in the last couple of months.

I agree with Food_Free, I was on 2mg but reduced it to 1mg after a while and still saw great results. It's good to use the smallest dose that works, less side effects that way!

I'm curious about skin removal surgery... Has anyone had that after losing a lot of weight? I'm worried about loose skin.

I've heard it can make a huge difference in comfort and confidence. A friend had it done on their abdomen and arms, and it really helped with the 'wings' issue they were describing. It's a big decision, though.

I've had several patients consider skin removal post-weight loss. It's a very individualized decision. Factors to consider are the amount of excess skin, overall health, and realistic expectations. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon for a comprehensive evaluation.

I'm more interested in staying on the medication long-term. I've heard some people go off of it and gain the weight back. It makes me nervous. I've been reading articles like about staying on it forever. It seems like for some of us with lifelong struggles, it might be necessary.
