Ozempic: A new chapter!

I'm celebrating a year and a month on ozempic, combined with a balanced diet and some activity! My doctor just completed a check-up and told me I've probably added a decade to my lifespan. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and PCOS about three years back. As a kid, I was always a bit chubby, and in adulthood, I was obese. Not anymore though!

My backaches are gone, I'm bursting with energy, and my confidence is through the roof. I'm loving my body, saggy skin and all. 🥰

Congrats, Fit-Tale! It's amazing how GLP-1s can change your life. I know for me, when I catch my reflection unexpectedly, I sometimes have a moment of 'Who is that?', then I realize it's me! Never thought I'd be able to look this way before these meds came along.

Hey Doubtful_Donut_8 and Aunt_Becca, my light exercise is just walking a few times a week and some stretching at home. Nothing crazy! I started slow and gradually increased it as I felt better. My doctor recommended I start very gentle and increase over time.

I totally get the "seeing yourself" moment! I had one at Pilates last week. I was standing next to some very slender girls, and I realized my arms looked just as slim as the girl next to me. It was awesome!

For anyone struggling with plateaus, don't get discouraged. It can take time. I know someone who needed nearly a year to drop about 60 pounds. Keep at it; it's worth it!
