Ozempic + bad food = đź’Ą?

opposite thing here. constipation now on 2.5 means no diarrhea or stomach pain from dairy. was brutal before, could barely leave the bathroom. actually testing with regular yogurt now.

Three doses in at any starting dose is still early days - the appetite suppression often has not fully kicked in yet, which means the calorie target can feel harder to consistently reach. Getting to the target matters more than hitting it perfectly every day at this stage. The GI sensitivity to certain foods is also usually more pronounced in the first few weeks before the body adapts to the medication.

Food aversion and taste shifts being normalized by a dietician is the right context. The combination you had - high fat, high sugar, carbonation - is the most reliable GI trigger stack on GLP-1. Slowed gastric emptying means fatty food plus refined carbs plus alcohol is close to a worst-case combination.

Greasy and high-fat foods are the worst combination on these meds because fat is the slowest macronutrient to clear and gastric emptying is already slowed - that's exactly the combination that produces the 4am bathroom situation.

Fatty fried plus alcohol is the specific trigger on Ozempic - gastric emptying slows so much that fried food plus beer becomes a 12-hour processing problem.
