Hit a rough depressive patch around week four on Ozempic since food comfort wasn't an option anymore. Also went through a major trauma trigger shortly after, and spent three to four weeks in survival mode.
Had to figure out how to process emotions without reaching for food. Tried a few times, couldn't manage it, and made myself sick attempting it.
Reached out to my psychiatrist, no medication changes came from it, but he stayed informed in case things escalated. Water therapy helped a lot, along with breathing exercises and exploring new foods I actually genuinely liked. Staying present during meals and savoring smaller portions of good food helped too.
Been on this since late February, but total loss sits at 115lbs over three years. Doubt I'll ever be able to fully stop a glp-1 without that food obsession creeping back.
Good luck! Hoping you find your own way through this.
