Ozempic cheaper in Canada?

I read somewhere that generic versions of Ozempic could be available in Canada as early as January of 2025 and significantly cheaper, like maybe a third of the brand name price.

What's the highest weekly dosage usually? I'm on 0.5mg and still seeing high blood sugar readings.

I saw it on Reddit. Apparently, Novo Nordisk didn't pay a small maintenance fee, and their patent lapsed! Someone messed up big time.

Wow, seriously? That's wild about the patent thing. I'm paying around $300 CAD per pen for the starter dose here. Cheaper options would be amazing.

I read that some of these drugs, like Ozempic, are being studied for potential benefits beyond diabetes and weight loss, such as reducing the risk of heart and kidney issues.

I'm excited about this! Fingers crossed for January, although I'm probably too optimistic. My A1C was 6.4 when I started and now my insurance wants to cut me off because technically I'm not diabetic anymore! So frustrating!

The max approved dose for Ozempic is 2mg weekly. If you're still struggling with your blood sugar at 0.5mg, talk to your doctor about potentially increasing the dose.
