Ozempic Experience: Victories, Big & Small

I know a burger with fries isn't the healthiest, but eating half and feeling good is WAY better than demolishing the whole thing like I used to. Little wins!

Guys, let's keep the comments supportive and avoid judging other people's food choices. Everyone's journey is different.

Now I struggle to eat a full burger. Before, I could easily put away a burger, a large order of fries, and a large pack of nuggets. I'm really thankful for this med. It's helping me shed pounds and address my emotional eating habits.

Exactly! For those wondering about the food choices, remember we're aiming for sustainable lifestyle tweaks. Cutting out ALL unhealthy stuff isn't realistic. Portion control, like Dosexo is doing, is key.

I'm with you! Ozempic has been a game-changer, even just two weeks in. I've battled binge eating my entire life, and now I have ZERO desire to binge. The relief from that guilt is unreal!

My portions have gotten so much smaller. For lunch, I had a tiny bit of lactose-free cheese and maybe 10 small carrot sticks. I don't eat much during the week... I eat a bit more on the weekends because I take my shot Tuesdays.

That's it... if we deny ourselves completely, it backfires. I get a kids meal and save the apples for later, or I get a small order of boneless wings and eat half, giving the rest away. We gotta celebrate the small steps. And for those being judgmental, half a burger is only like 250 calories... that's not terrible.

I don't think I could even manage that; I'd feel sick. My appetite is so different, and honestly, the thought of something that heavy just scares me. It would just sit in my stomach. I'm grateful for this effect, but I do miss burgers and fries sometimes.

I agree that the food shaming needs to stop. Dosexo never said they eat that way every day! I've been eating mostly healthy food and enjoying not feeling hungry. But, I really wanted some fried chicken last week. So, instead of depriving myself, I got a small order. It was enough, and I didn't go overboard. It's about finding a sustainable balance, not just restricting 'bad' foods.

I just took my first shot yesterday. When did you all notice your food noise decreasing? I am hoping I can stop thinking about food 24/7
For me it started really fast. I noticed the food noise getting better within a few days after my first shot. I was really shocked.

I do my shot on Thursdays, and by Saturday, the food chatter in my head is gone. It starts to come back on Tuesday evenings. Maybe ask your provider about splitting the dose if this happens to you.
