Ozempic fridge check: Week 2

Congrats, you're starving your body, and you'll only end up damaging your health.

Eating isn't a bad thing. You need fuel. You could cut out junk food or overly processed stuff, and still eat lots of greens, fruit, meat and YES, you'll still lose weight.

This isn't something to brag about. It's actually concerning. Read up on nutrition and give your body the things it needs to function!

This isn't a good thing to post about.

1: if this pic is legit, where are your sema pens?
2: You still are supposed to be eating while using this drug.
3: Posts like this belong on sites geared toward encouraging EDs, not legitimate health forums.

Yeah, you still have to eat while taking this medication. I'm three months in, and I still have a refrigerator full of food, but it's just healthier options, and I eat smaller portions. Using this medication isn't the same as having an eating disorder.

I must be on the fake stuff because my fridge is overflowing with junk. Still waiting for this 'no hunger' effect everyone talks about after being on it for a year.

I don't get why it's seen as so terrible to include watermelon (fruit), Greek yogurt (protein), grilled chicken (protein), and sugar-free fudge pops (40 calories, SUGAR FREE) as part of a balanced diet. I didn't claim that's the ONLY thing I consume. I just mentioned it's something I regularly buy at the store.

Same as mine (because I just got back home from a trip!) except I'm missing the pickles

I've been finding focusing on protein has made a big difference in my energy levels. I stalled out around 20 pounds lost, and realized I wasn't getting enough protein when I looked at my food logs. Adding in protein shakes and Greek yogurt has helped a lot.

Protein is so key! I'm pescatarian, and I have to focus on things like pea protein, Greek yogurt, and salmon. I can't reach my protein goals without them, and I still fall short sometimes even when I'm trying!

I've noticed a lot of patients think that just taking the medication is enough.

But it's more effective when you also adjust your diet. I've seen much better results when patients focus on protein and vegetables.

Yeah, the meds help, but it isn't magic. If you keep eating junk all day long, you might lose some weight at first, but it won't last. You gotta be real with yourself.
