A year without a drink today! Also, I've dropped around 90 pounds and went from XXL to a size small, and my labs look great. This stuff has been life-changing.

I just passed my first year anniversary too! My weight loss has plateaued a bit, but I am so grateful to Ozempic for squashing my desire for alcohol and getting my glucose under control. The positive effects on my health will be huge. I'm hoping to lose another 40 pounds.

Congrats! That's a massive accomplishment. My partner's been sober for a year and a half, and I wish we knew about this when he was really struggling. He was taking Antabuse, which can be risky. I wish you all the best, and I hope you reach your next goal.

There's evidence it can blunt cravings in the brain, at the reward centers. Blunts dopamine. I've seen it with alcohol, junk food, and sugary drinks.

Yeah, I've noticed it's gotten easier to say no to caffeine too. I used to down like, three energy drinks a day, now I have maybe one coffee.

Interesting. I've also found my tolerance for alcohol has dropped significantly. I'm definitely a cheap date these days!

I'm an alcoholic and can drink a lot of beer in one sitting. I've been thinking about trying GLP-1 meds and I heard they can reduce alcohol cravings. Thinking of giving it a shot.

Be careful. It blunts EVERYTHING. There's a chance of anhedonia as a side effect from what I've been reading.
