Ozempic: One Year Later & 100+ lbs Down!

I started on Byetta way back in spring of '22 after my blood sugar numbers were too high, without a lot of success, so my doctor put me on Ozempic in August. Since then, I've gotten rid of 106 pounds. My A1C is great, and I feel a million times better.

Even with some not-so-great side effects at first (which seem to have gone away now), it's all been worth it. My current dose is 2mg.

Thanks! Do you mean me? I haven't thought about stopping the medication yet. I still have another 30-40 pounds I would like to lose.

Did you change your diet or exercise? I'm not getting the same results and I'm looking for anything that might help. You look great!

Just saw this. Yes, I incorporated more fruits and protein and scaled back on the carbs and sugary drinks. I also try to walk 30 minutes most days.

I'm about 20 pounds down since January. It’s definitely been a game changer. I see all these posts and get so motivated to keep pushing!

I love to see it! It's a real accomplishment to invest in yourself and stick with it. I've been on a GLP-1 for about a year now and it’s changed everything. I had gained nearly 90 pounds after a REALLY rough time and it has helped me get back on track. Down around 80 pounds now and hoping to lose another 30.

Hey Fit_Mom, I started a little online support group when I started my weight loss journey. It has been such a great way to connect with other people and get encouragement and tips. Maybe try to find a group like that? It has REALLY helped me.

Huge mood shift for me. Perimenopausal, 46 this year. The anger had built up but now I can step back and pause better. Not sure if I was headed to type 2 diabetes like many women in my family but interesting seeing this shift.
